A Day in the Life:

  • Responsible for day to day operations and administration on network & security infrastructure.
  • Administer and configure infrastructure systems and applications (e.g. Active Directory Services, video conferencing, audio system, telephony, server, storage, backup, etc.), network devices (firewall, routers, switches, VPN, DNS, wireless, etc.)
  • Create and update network documentation (policies & procedures) including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
  • Design and implement new network solutions and/or optimize the efficiency of current networks.
  • Assist in projects planning and execution. Perform network maintenance and system migration, upgrades including certificate updates, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
  • Proactively monitor network performance, ensuring high network availability and smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot system & network issues, provide expert-level support for incidents, outages, and escalations, and resolve problems swiftly to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with vendors and telecommunications service providers to resolve service issues and improvements.
  • Perform network audits and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure network adheres with regulatory guidelines and as well as corporate policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Ad-hoc IT support responsibility as a back-up for Helpdesk support team members.
