Chellia Laurentia, a Senior Manager in our Project team in Indonesia, shares her work motto, values, and experiences that have shaped her success in her six-year journey with Kingsmen.
What do you think led you to winning the Ambassador Award?
Being part of a supportive team has been instrumental in my success. I’m truly honoured to be recognised for my passion and contributions. The collaborative spirit within the team, and the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, have been a constant source of motivation and growth.
How does embodying service and excellence look like in your daily work?
For me, embodying service and excellence is about exceeding expectations in every aspect of my role. This includes being meticulous, proactive communication, and offering unwavering support to both clients and colleagues. I strive for continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring smooth and seamless project execution for the team.
Share a memorable work experience or accomplishment.
One of my most challenging and rewarding experiences was navigating the complexities of material sourcing and import permits during the COVID-19 pandemic. We were tasked with earning the trust of a demanding client for their interior project. Drawing on our expertise and confidence, we proposed local production as a solution. This approach proved to be a game-changer. Not only did we successfully deliver the project, but it also strengthened both the team’s and my relationship with the client.
What advice would you give to new employees?
My advice is to always prioritise clear communication and meticulous planning. Thoroughly understand the project scope, objectives, and expectations. Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans. Building strong rapport with your team and clients is paramount for successful project outcomes.
